Farewell to the King of Pop – Michael Jackson
I woke up late and haven’t got the chance of browsing the net before going to the office as I usually do. I arrived late, and for a while I thought it will be just an ordinary day. When I opened my Live Messenger, today’s news got me surprised as it says “Pop icon Michael Jackson dead at 50″. Google results confirmed it well — Yes, Michael Jackson is Dead!
Well, I’m not an avid fan of Michael Jackson. I haven’t purchased any of his album, nor followed his Pedophile cases. But his outstanding popularity as a music artist surely made the world mourns today.
To his death I’m more interested at. Will it be like Princess Diana’s were millions of people all over the world cried? In today’s era, little by little the kings, queens, princes and princes are dying. Well, getting born earlier isn’t that bad at all.
Michael Johnson Jackson, an African-American, was born in August 29, 1958 at Gary, Indiana, United States, and he died today, August 29, 1958 at Los Angeles, California, United States.
Michael Jackson started at age 5 as lead singer of their family band – The Jackson 5. He became more popular when he went solo, receiving dozens of recognitions, awards and achievements. That’s 45 years of Jackson music!
Indeed, Michael Joseph Jackson is (and will always be) a great influence to the music industry.
“Of course, there will be no comeback now, no Jackson 5 reunion, no new music to share with millions of fans. But the legacy he leaves behind is so rich, so deep, that no scandal can torpedo it. The “Thriller” may be gone, but the thrill will always remain.” - AP (read more)
